Chris Mulumba will be the second Finnish player playing in the CFL regular season game
Finland’s Chris Mulumba will finally get a chance to show his talent on Canadian Football League field Friday 5th November in Hamilton as the Tiger-Cats meets BC Lions. Mulumba was picked by Hamilton in the 2021 CFL Global Draft held in April 2021 and has been waiting on Ticats´s practice roster for his opportunity.
Chris Mulumba is a graduate of the University of Colorado where he spent the final two years of his collegiate career, finishing with 55 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 3.5 tackles for loss in 23 games. Mulumba started his career with Helsinki Roosters when he was 17. He has one appearance on Finnish national team in 2012
The first Finn playing in CFL was wide receiver Kimi Linnainmaa. Linnainmaa was on Toronto Argonauts active rosters season 2019.
