Maple Bowl XLVI at Bolt Arena in Helsinki 13.09.2025

The 2025 Maple League (Vaahteraliiga) season will culminate in the Maple Bowl XLVI game (Vaahteramalja), which will be played for the second time in a row in Helsinki at Bolt Arena. The 46th Finnish championship of all time will be decided on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

The host city and playing arena for Maple Bowl XLVI were announced on Saturday at the American Football Gala at the Helsinki Kulttuurikasarmi The 46th Maple League final will be played for the 14th time this coming summer at the football stadium in Töölö, Helsinki. The American Football Final was held in Tampere, Lahti, Kuopio and Seinäjoki in the 2019–2023 regional rounds, but now Bolt Arena has been chosen as the venue for the second time.

The President of the Finnish American Football Association, Roope Noronen, is pleased with the opportunities that Bolt Arena offers the event organizer:

-Bolt Arena offers an excellent setting for the Maple BowlXLVI match and the cooperation with the arena professionals is working excellently.

-This year, overlapping events caused changes to our plans. Next year, we will offer fans a more comprehensive spectator experience, including an even more prominent pregame event.

Bolt Arena Commercial Director, Sirja Luomaniemi, is pleased with SAJL’s decision to bring the final match to Töölö, Helsinki for the second time:

-We at Bolt Arena are really proud and happy to be the stage for the Maple Bowl again next year – the sport’s biggest event has a completely unique atmosphere. The central location near the center of Helsinki, in an easily accessible place, brings the sport close to the audience. The Maple Bowl was played for the first time at Töölö Football Stadium in 2005. Throughout the history of the sport, the Maple Bowl has also been played in Helsinki at the Velodrom, the former Töölö Football Stadium, and once at the Olympic Stadium.
